New Lexus RX L; 7 Seater SUV With V6 Hybrid Engine
Called as New Lexus RX L, The brand New Lexus SUV With 7 Seat – Twenty years after the beginning of the model, the New Lexus RX offers an elongated variant offering up to 7 seats. This one will arrive in Europe running 2018. Lexus is taking advantage of the Los Angeles 2017 show to unveil a seven-seater version of its Lexus RX SUV. Lengthened by 11 cm, it takes the name Lexus RX L.
The rear overhang and the pavilion line have been stretched, the jig is 5 meters long. This architecture allows the Lexus RX L to offer a third row of seats that collapses electrically in the floor. A six-seater configuration is also proposed, in this case there are only two armchairs (wider and with armrests) in the second row.
Two V6 gasoline versions
In the North American market two engines are offered. The hybrid version of the Lexus RX 450 L combines the V6 3.5 petrol from 290 hp to two 37 KW electric motors for a cumulative power of 313 HP. The transmission is based on a continuous-change automatic gearbox.
The Lexus RX 350 L variant with only the 290 hp gasoline V6 coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Lexus RX 350 is available in 4×2 and 4WD. Due to its hybrid architecture, the 450 L version offers full transmission.
Driving aids include support for maintenance in the taxiway, lighting assistant, the Pre-Collision System and rear transverse traffic alert.
Among the rare 7-seater SUV Hybrids
The New Lexus RX L will be marketed in United States early 2018, it should subsequently invest the European market on which the Volvo XC 90 T8 Twin Engine awaits. On the other hand, the Audi Q7 e-Tron Quattro offers only 5 seats.
