Here is The 2019 Ford Edge With New diesel engine, revamped look and ST-Line finish. The Ford Edge SUV changes its look at the beginning of the 2018 year. ST-Line Sports finish, new 238 HP 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, driving aids and enriched equipment, the Edge offers a deep update. Marketed in France since June 2016, the Ford Edge is already an important restyling on the occasion of the Geneva Motor Show 2018. This may seem early but this SUV already has four years of career since it was launched in North America in 2014.
The 2019 Ford Edge is armed with a more powerful diesel variant: a 2.0 biturbo (low and high pressure) of 238 hp, named EcoBlue. Note that others appear: 150 Hp and 190 Horsepower (replacing the 180 Hp and 210 Hp). The wisest diesel can now be combined with a two-wheel drive and a new eight-speed automatic gearbox. This last team also the most drawing EcoBlue.
Collision braking (to avoid over-accident), adaptive regulator with Stop & Go function, and avoidance aid (impulse in the steering wheel) are the new driving aids to the Ford Edge.
2019 Ford Edge ST-Line Version for the Ford Edge
At the moment, only the photos of the new ST-Line finish are known. The change is at least seeing. Hood, optics, grille, shield, everything has been seen in the front so that the Ford becomes more assertive without becoming too aggressive. It’s less glaring at the back where he loses his blindfold connecting the lights.
The exhaust cannulas, reminiscent of the DS 7 Crossback, the bottom of the box and the black grille, or the 20-inch (21-inch optional) rims are specific to the ST-Line version.
2019 Ford Edge Interior Changes
On the inside, the dashboard evolves, especially at the center console, and adopts a digital slab with multiple configurations, instead of the counters.
On the ST-Line version, the leather-covered seats offer ten directions of electrical adjustments, the leather steering wheel is dressed in red stitching, like the speed lever knob, and the crankset is aluminum. The dynamic aspect should also be improved thanks to Sport suspensions and a reconfigured direction.
Passengers will benefit from wireless charging for smartphones, the Sync3 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound.
The 2019 Ford Edge range will be structured around the Trend, Titanium, ST-Line and Vignale finish, but no marketing date is announced at this time.
