2019 BMW 330e Review – New 3-Series With Plug-in Hybrid
After the successful M340i xDrive unveiled a few days ago, BMW continues to decline its new Series 3 with a 2019 BMW 330e rechargeable hybrid version. On the menu: 252 hp and 60 km in all electric.
While she was already one of the stars of the BMW stand at the Paris Motor Show, the new BMW 3 Series should continue to play the stars in Los Angeles at the end of November. In addition to the performance-oriented variant M340i, the Bavarian firm will bring a new 330th in the American lounge with a focus on sobriety.
Like its predecessor, the 2019 BMW 330e Specs is equipped with a plug-in hybrid version, which has the same name 330th. But, with 252 hp, the cumulative power remains the same as that of the old model, but the technology has significantly evolved. In addition to the four-cylinder 2.0 turbo still developing 184 hp, the electric motor now offers a continuous power of 68 hp, which can go up to 113 hp in peak power.
Thus, although in normal use the cumulative power is always 252 hp, the new 330th can count on an “extra boost” of 41 hp in Sports mode, which allows him to temporarily have 292 hp. Nevertheless, the announced performance progresses very little, with a 0 to 100 km / h now shot in 6 s instead of 6.1 s previously.
2019 BMW 330e Range
The most interesting is the autonomy in all-electric mode, which for its part knows a significant increase, the 330th can now travel 60 km without any polluting emissions, against 40 km for the old version. This data allows BMW to announce a combined consumption of 1.7 l / 100 km for CO 2 emissions of 39 g / km in the correlated NEDC cycle (2.1 l / 100 km and 49 g / km on the ‘Ancient).
Among the evolutions, we also note that the maximum speed in all-electric has been raised to 140 km h , against 120 km / h previously. And, if the trunk volume is logically slashed a good hundred liters because of the lithium-ion battery (375 liters instead of 480 on thermal versions), it remains slightly higher compared to the old one 330th (370 liters).
BMW 330e Price & Release Date
The prices of the 330th have not yet been communicated, besides it will be necessary to wait until the summer of 2019, before seeing the arrival of this 2019 BMW 330e plug-in hybrid.
