2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Specs, Dimension, Pictures [UPDATE!]
Here Is The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII. The manufacturer Rolls-Royce unveils the eighth generation of her great Phantom limousine and thus offers its new interpretation of the ultimate automotive: luxury, refinement and especially a distinction without equal.
While the German premium manufacturers add a dose of luxury and additional technology to each new generation of their limousines, Rolls Royce reminds them today with this new 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII what is the true distinction in terms of automobile.
Certainly, the Rolls has always played in a category apart from those who were trying to compete with them, and this new Phantom is no exception to the rule. By its silhouette, the ‘small’ Goodwood continues apart from the automotive mass, always showing this amazing mixture of opulence and austerity.
New Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Dimensions; A completely new limousine
The line is also changing very little compared to its predecessor and generally retains the same proportions, showing, however, a somewhat more dynamic look and a character on its front, with very worked lenses.
This Phantom is based on a new platform exclusive to the brand, which will be used by all future Rolls-Royce models. Called “Architecture of Luxury”, it allows to earn rigidity (30% compared with the former) but also in weight. With a 5.77 m length, which can be increased to 5.99 m in the long version, the new Phantom remains one of the largest cars in the market.
Under the hood, the V12 is also new, although it retains the characteristic displacement of “6 liters three-quarters.” Now stuffed by two turbos, it develops a power of 571 HP to 900 Nm of torque. Allow this opulent limousine to fly over traffic smoothly, despite its size and its consequent mass.
But more than performance, this is well heard the comfort and serenity that prevail when one is on board this Phantom. Besides, although one of the noblest ones in mechanical, the goal is to hear it the less possible, like any other noise. Rolls-Royce says thus have further improved insulation on board and this new car would be 10% quieter than its predecessor at 100 mph, thanks to the employment of 130 kg of insulation.
2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Interior
Just like the outside, the Interior atmosphere remains quite close to what we knew already, with a very similar style development. There despite all the digital instrumentation, which replaces the old meters to needles, or even a dashboard named ‘the Gallery’, the level of customization can be pushed to the extreme. Because, like any Rolls-Royce self-respecting, every copy of this new Phantom must be unique!
