2018 Porsche Cayenne Coupe SUV price msrp

Porsche is really looking to shake things up in the SUV market again. Its release of 2018 Porsche Cayenne model will be a birth for already 3rd generation of this car – how time flies! The old Cayenne could easily be called the savior for Porsche back in 2002 when it was first released. Facing financial troubles at that time and a lack of new ideas, company was in a downward spiral and made a really nice comeback with Cayenne, but can the model of 2018 actually maintain good image and success garnered by its predecessors?

2018 Porsche Cayenne Review

Let’s start with design first. Interior wise 2018 Porsche Cayenne is not going to differ much from the 2nd generation. Although Cayenne is considered a luxury SUV, interior of this car never actually carried that message and there definitely are some things Porsche could work on and they already promised an upgraded interior for its 2019 release. Exterior wise Cayenne is receiving a mandatory facelift, although a small one. Most noticeable changes will be made to its front where we will see new, elegant and modern headlights installed. But the highlight of the whole facelift will be a new bumper with air intakes – these will make Cayenne look more aggressive and youthful. Porsche also worked on a new wheel design which will greatly differ from previous ones.

2018 Porsche Cayenne Engines

What’s under the hood? 2018 Porsche Cayenne will come in three styles – Base, GTS and Turbo. Base model will carry a 300 horsepower, 3.6-liter 6 cylinder engine, GTS will offer much more power with its 440 horsepower, 3.6-liter 6 cylinder engine. If you are looking for a wilder experience from an SUV then Turbo will definitely do it for you – 570 horsepower, 4.8liter V8 engine will bring 590 lb/ft torque and 3.8 seconds zero to 60 miles per hour time to the table. That’s crazy for SUV and sets new standards in the market. 8 speed automatic and auto-manual will be available and Cayenne, of course, remains a 4-wheel drive.

Porsche hasn’t released any information about estimated miles per gallon yet, but expert reviewers mentioned that they averaged about 20 MPG in cities and about 23 MPG on highways with a Base model. The same reviewers also praised the new model for being easy to handle, retaining its comfort and smoothness.
