2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Review, Price – In a bid to keep up with the cut-throat competition that is looming in the automotive industry, Japanese car maker Mitsubishi has given among their more notable 7-seat SUV – the Outlander a facelift. The new look 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander will now feature three primary trims with the base trim being the LS, the medium trim being the XLS and the range-topping trim being the Exceed. Other than the new look, the new model also feature a less sluggish accelerations and as it may seem, the hard work that the engineers and designers claim to have put may finally be paying off.

Nothing much has changed from under the hood. The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV still features the same three trims of engine that include the 3.0L SOHC V6 petrol engine with an all-wheels drive train mated to a five-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission is top of the class with 215 lb-ft of torque and 224 horses , the 2.4 liter petrol option that drives through a CVT transmission only is capable of 166 horses and 164 lb-ft of torque and the last option is the 2.2 turbo diesel engine that is mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission. Even though the engine specs have not really changed as many would have hoped, the silver lining is that the company did a solid and at least improved the acceleration.
One thing that is evident is that the priority with regards to the interior of the new Mitsubishi Outlander was concentrated on giving a better and higher quality look and feel. The instrument cluster remains very sophisticated but not intricate and features a nice LCD screen that has impeccable graphics and very intuitive to operate. The seats are more comfortable with more leg room in the back seat for better movement and the dashboard is quite breath taking to say the least. It also features a high mounted SUV that offers a great field of vision.

There is definitely a fresh new look. From the easy on the eye appeal that the Outlander previously featured to the more purposeful and dynamic look that it currently has, there is nothing not to like about this one of a kind SUV. The new model features a chrome and silver plated grille. A silver skid plate and fog light bezels and LED DRLs. A couple of creases on the hood and the side help it to achieve that aggressive and performance driven look. At the back, there is a new look rear bumper and a silver skid plate as well.
2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Price and release date
The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander was already released at the Sydney Motor Show and the XLS model is selling for about $36,490, the Exceed trim selling for about $46,490 and the LS going for about $23,850.
