2018 Kia Sorento Redesign, Review
2018 Kia Sorento Redesign, Review – KIA celebrated its 22th birthday several months ago and their first release, the New Kia Sorento, is a head turning auto piece oozing with maturity. But do not worry, it is expected that KIA’s antics of super freakish athletes jumping over Optima at NBA games and the like to continue. With the new Sorento, KIA seems to have looked into all the concerns that were raised with its predecessor. Park the new Sorento side by side with the new one and you will surely notice major differences just from a glance. However, a more in depth investigation proves that KIA indeed did its homework.
2018 Kia Sorento Reviews
The new 2018 Kia Sorento is larger than its predecessor. The automaker stretched the vehicle’s length by a whole 3 inches and the wheel base by a whopping 3.1 inches in a bid to increase the interior space. The floor pan was dropped by two inches while the roofline was brought a little bit lower in comparison its predecessor. However, despite the changes, the measurements of the second and optional third row virtually remained the same. So where did most of the space go to? Well, a lot of it went to the cargo area that now features 39 cubic feet. Impressive right?
Complementing the broader look and giving the new Sorento a more tasteful and modern look are the quad LED fog lights at the front and the new grill.
Moving on, the cabin features Nappa leather that is soft to the touch with color schemes that are very well coordinated. However, the UVO infotainment display (an 8 inch screen with sharper and vibrant graphics) continues to impress. Hard buttons for the features that are frequently used run along the system making all the difference. In addition to this, the new Kia will indeed feature tons of new and advanced softwares and hardware.
2018 Kia Sorento Engine
Powering the 2018 Kia Sorento is the all familiar V6, 3.3L engine with the ability to generate 290 hp. This is the same engine that powers its predecessor. What will draw and catch your attention is however the new 2.0 liter turbo charged four engine that can develop 240 hp, offering better fuel economy than the V6 engine. The V6 can tow up to 5000 pounds while the turbo charged engine can pull a weight of 3500 pounds, which is more than enough for one who is looking for a Kia. All the versions of Kia will feature a standard front wheel drive and a six speed automatic transmission.

The different trims of the new 2018 Kia Sorento already in the market will attract different prices ranging from $25,795 for the most basic one to $44,495 for the full out Kia package.
