New 2018 Hyundai Tucson brings numerous changes. It is designed with latest Hyundai design language, and it body received more aggressive lines. Headlights are narrower and more swept back, while the grill kept its hexagonal shape, but designed in much more modern way, and much larger than before. Front fascia is also redesigned, while chrome details bled in perfectly with the rest of the design. Big wheels are also part of this redesign, which make new Tucson look wider and bigger than ever. Hyundai managed to make it Tucson look powerful and strong yet elegant.
Interior of this SUV is upholstered in high-quality materials, and soft touch surfaces. Technology is on its highest level, so expect all modern features you need to be available.
2018 Hyundai Tucson performance
Regardless of the fact that we saw some hints how new Tucson will look, Hyundai didn’t reveal anything regarding its performance. Still, some sources close to the company reveal that we can expect few things: a hybrid variant and various petrol engines. Most likely 2018 Hyundai Tucson will continue to offer same engines as its predecessor, which means both 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines will be available.
The 2.0-liter unit produces 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, and returns great fuel economy for the segment Tucson competes in. The 2.4-liter unit cranks out 182 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
We had a chance to read the rumors about the diesel unit, and this still is a possibility, since diesels are making a comeback in latest few years. Since the Japanese producer hasn’t confirmed these rumors, we will have to wait for a little bit longer to see which rumors are true, and which are just that – rumors.
2018 Hyundai Tucson price and release date
Pricing specs of the 2018 Hyundai Tucson are not available yet, but one thing is sure – it will feature an increase compared to 2017 model. Having in mind last year price, this MY changes, and competition, we expect new Tucson to start around $25,000 for the base variant. The release is announced, and 2018 Tucson will have its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March this year, which is less than a month away.
