The 2018 BMW M3 CS is a radical version of the famous M3. To the program: more advantageous weight/power ratio, specific exhaust, and very muscular look. Check out all the info on this M3 CS which will be launched in 2018 at only 1 200 copies.
BMW introduces the M3 CS, a radicalized version of its famous M3. Aesthetically, this version stands out by a front shield pierced with wider air inlets, a rear diffuser, specific alloy rims (19 inches in the front, 20 inches in the rear), Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, or of yellow brake calipers with four-piston calipers at the front and two pistons at the rear.
Compared to a conventional M3, this M3 CS has lost 50 kg on the scale (i.e. 1 500 kg at no-load) thanks to the use of carbon on the roof, the bonnet, the diffuser and the small spoiler that overcomes the trunk rear.
On board, the M3 CS receives a specific two-tone saddle, a red start button, while the dashboard and M Sport steering wheel are dressed in Alcantara (optional in France).
460 Horsepower for BMW M3 CS
Under the hood, the 6-cylinder 3.0 bi-turbo delivers a power of 460 HP, which is 10 hp more than the M3 Pack competition, as well as a maximum torque of 600 Nm. This cavalry is sent to the rear wheels via a DCT double clutch and 7 gears (with paddles at the steering wheel).
According to BMW, the M3 CS goes from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.9 s, which is 0.1 s better than the M3 Pack competition. The max speed is restricted to 280 km/h with the M Driver Pack installed in series on this version.
In addition to the performance in slight progress, the M3 CS should delight the ears of the passenger’s thanks to the presence of an exhaust specific to the sound even more sporty. BMW also announces better road and circuit behavior through adaptive m suspension and the “Active M” limited slip differential, both delivered in series.
